Making a header

Designing a new header had me stressed and lost. Honestly, I struggled just to find the tab where to edit the header, and ultimately did not find it. I think overall I struggle navigating WordPress, but this task was genuinely challenging for me. The general theme of my website is fitness and food, wish a dash of fun. For my header, I knew I wanted something that combined the two but also incorporated some fun. This was also an extremely challenging part for me. There are essentially an endless amount of options in the realm of food and fitness. Before searching for images, I opened the editing site and explored the tools a little bit. I found this to be extremely helpful when it came time to edit. Although I had not actually edited anything yet, it was nice to be somewhat familiar with the layout and the options for when it came time to edit.

I am an extremely indecisive person, so choosing images was a challenge in it of itself. However, I did find that using the advanced search was extremely easy. Actually editing the images was a little bit of a challenge. I have never actually edited pictures so this was a very new experience. I did find it easier than I anticipated it would be; which was a pleasant surprise. Honestly, I am not entirely sure where I can apply these editing skills in my current day to day life. However, I think my career path will lead to more editing of images, so later on in life these skills will definitely come in handy.

  1. I really like how well thought out the image is. It brings out warmth and happiness which food also does. I also like how you made the sun an orange playing into your healthy eating. keep it up!

  2. The image that you edited together came out really cool! I love how you incorporated both the food and fitness part of your website.

  3. Hi Meredith, I can definitely relate to your struggles when it came to making a header for my blog. I could not figure out where the right tab was for the header, and it confused me on the size dimensions. I instead just went with the editing a photo option, it seemed easier! Glad someone had issues with this step.
