Screencasting

Overall, I found the screencasting process to be relatively simple. Prior to this, I had never done something like this so it was a new experience. I think a skill like this could definitely come in handy later on in life. The more digital the world becomes, the more likely I would need to use this. Ideally, I want to work in the marketing/event planning industry. I can see screencasting playing a role in that. I could definitely be one to utilize this tool when dealing with clients to highlight certain aspects of a website I send them. I can also see this being useful the opposite way; having clients use this tool to convey a certain message for me to understand. I think this skill would be valued by an employer and future clients. Although it is not something I know much about, I think it could either be or become a popular, valuable skill to have in the business world. I think for what I want to do, creativity can play a big part in it. There are so many aspects to different websites. I could very easily see myself working on a project in my career and needing to explain the website first before really getting into what it is that I am doing. As virtual work progresses I think screencasting will become important to really conveying messages to those not directly there with you.
